Our Light Show

Our Light show starts and ends the same time every year and is free of charge. It starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 10 PM every evening. We officially start the show the Friday after Thanksgiving and it continues through to January 1st. It is a continuous cycle and you do not have to be there from the very start.

The original Light show was started around 2010 by Steve(n) as John and I had bought one of the retail 'light shows', that makes your outdoor lights dance to preprogramed music, from a local box store. He was unimpressed with the quality and thought 'I can do that way better'.

And better he did!

It started as just a simple light show, with a few songs that you had to park alongside the road to watch, to now having grown to about a half hour of fun, with song changes trying to be made every year so it's not the same, and a parking lot to enjoy from. 

​

This is no easy task as it takes roughly 100 hours to complete the light show. Several days to put the entire light show up on and around the house. And many trial runs to ensure everything is working correctly, once the lights are up.

Regardless of the time and work, it is something fun we enjoy doing for the community that requires nothing in return. Something fun the WHOLE family can enjoy, without ever leaving your car!
